Dear Mr. and Mrs. Saban:
We count it a privilege to be a recipient of your generous contribution to the elementary instructional program of our system. The health and safety of our students are critical elements in our mission and purpose and the choice was made to use your donation to offset the expenses of the Third Grade Learn to Swim Program.
For approximately 20 years, we have partnered with the YMCA to provide each third grade student the opportunity to participate in the Learn to Swim program. The YMCA graciously provides the certified life guards and we agree to provide transportation for each child to go for five, one-hour, swim lessons at the YMCA. The effectiveness of the partnership is noted in the longevity of the program.
Our stufents are not only provided a unique opportunity to develop basic life saving techniques, but they learn responsibility and wise decision-making strategies. With the increase in transportation costs, reality caused us to consider abandoning this program. Your timely contribution has provided much needed resources to continue this program for the 2008-09 school year.
The ripple of your contribution may well be that a child thwarted a possible drowning by making wise, responsible decisions learned while participating in the YMCA/Tuscaloosa City School's Learn to Swim program. Thank you for giving.
Sincerely,
Joyce C. Levey, Ed. D Superintendent |

Dear Mr. And Mrs. Saban:
Thank you for your Nick's Kids Fund donation of $500 to the Tuscaloosa Symphony Guild. Your generosity to this organization and to the Tuscaloosa community at large is overwhelming.
As you may know the Guild hosts the Fifth Grade Concerts at Moody Concert Hall as well as the Instrument Petting Zoos in the city and county elementary schools. Your gift will help us to continue with these important and popular activities.

Dear Coach & Mrs. Saban:
On behalf of the Board of Directors, the individuals we serve, their families and our staff, I want to thank you both for your very generous donation of $10,000 from the Nick's Kids Fund. Significant contributions of this type enable The Arc of Tuscaloosa County to expand programming for individuals with disabilities. As a direct result of your donation last year, we have a beautiful new deck that acts as an outdoor classroom and a place to eat, socialize and/or just for outside in the fresh air.
Our Hourly Services program was started with the knowledge that we would not have suffiient funding to break even but we knew these services to the families were sorely needed. Many people are on the waiting list for respite services, as well as personal or residential care. Donations from generous individuals such as you makes it possible for us to continue to provide these services.
Many thanks for your continuing support of The Arc of Tuscaloosa County. We very deeply appreciate your thoughtful gift!
Sincerely,
Ryan Delfin Executive Director |

Dear Nick & Terry:
Thank you very much for your generous donation to Term Focus. You and Terry are a wonderful example of a family giving back and I appreciate you both.
We are reaching 1200 boys without a father in their life, and we are making a difference. There are so many stories of young men making better choices and doing well in school. We are reaching more boys all the time.
God Bless Both of you for all you are doing for so many.
Sincerely, Mike |

Dear Nick & Terry:
GOD BLESS YOU for your donation of $1,000.00 to the ministries of The Jimmie Hale Mission. Your contribution makes it possible for us to minister to those who come to us for assistance.
The Bible verse written below describes those who come through our doors. They are the poor, brikenhearted, captive, spiritually blind and oppressed. Because of your caring and giving, we can keep the doors open.
August continues to bring us hot weather and summer thunderstorms. Both of these factors make a homeless shelter a necessity! In addition to being a shelter for the homeless, we are a feeding station to the hungry and a sanctuary to the hurting.
THANK YOU for standing with us in caring for the poor and needy. We appreciate your helping us to celebrate "Christmas in August."
Sincerely,
Tony Cooper Executive Director
"The spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor. He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind, and set at liberty those who are oppressed." - Luke 4:18 |
